Roof Visualizer for Roofing Contractors

1. Open your company link. Your crew signs in once with your company PIN. The app shows your logo and colors, and it can sit on the home screen of an iPhone or Android like any other app.
2. Take or upload a photo of the house. Use the phone's camera on site, or a photo the homeowner already sent you.
3. Pick the roof. Search by brand, line or color, something like "Atlas Heather Blend," and it finds it. Change the siding, the trim or paint over the brick in the same pass if the job calls for it.
4. Compare options side by side. One request can return three versions, so the homeowner compares colors on their own house instead of squinting at a two-inch swatch.
5. Send it. Share the preview from your phone so the homeowner has it when they talk it over that night.

GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed and Atlas all have photo visualizers. They're good at what they're built for: a homeowner trying colors at the kitchen table. Here's what each one offers, going by the manufacturers' own pages.

• GAF Virtual Home Remodeler. Homeowners upload a photo of their house and try new roof colors and styles. GAF describes it as free.
• Owens Corning Design EyeQ. A free homeowner visualizer for Owens Corning shingle lines, with no cross-brand comparison, according to Renoworks, whose platform it runs on.
• CertainTeed ColorView. You upload a photo of your home and mask it with shingle colors. CertainTeed also offers to professionally mask your photo for a small fee.
• Atlas Roof & Home Design Studio. Upload photos of your home, swipe through different looks and save the ones you like to a mood board.

Each of those is the manufacturer's own tool, centered on its own products. That makes sense for them. It's a problem for you if you install more than one brand, or if the homeowner wants to see a GAF color next to an Owens Corning color before deciding.

Ours puts more than 30 roofing brands and 20 siding brands in one picker, carries your logo instead of a manufacturer's, and is set up for your salespeople rather than a homeowner's laptop. That's what the monthly fee pays for. If you only sell one brand and your homeowners are happy doing it themselves, the free tool may be all you need. We'd rather you hear that from us.

• Roof size and pitch. Total roof area, squares, the main pitch and the number of roof faces.
• Waste and materials. A waste-adjusted order estimate and material quantities for the products you pick, with the waste percentage you can change.
• Partial jobs. Leave out roof faces or add a garage or shed, and the totals update on the spot.
• Your name on it. Save it, print it or send it as a PDF with your company on the report.

For comparison, GAF QuickMeasure reports cost $20 to $100 each, and GAF promises single-family ones in under an hour. Ours come back instantly and are part of your monthly plan, so you're not paying per house to find out whether a job is worth bidding.

• It's an AI preview, not a color-matched proof. Screens, daylight and the photo itself all change how a color reads. Put a physical sample in the homeowner's hand before the order goes in.
• It's told to leave the house alone. The instructions lock the roof shape, the number of chimneys, the windows and anything you didn't ask it to change. AI can still slip now and then, so glance at each preview before you turn the phone around.
• A report is a fast estimate, not a tape measure. It's built for quoting from the truck. On a steep or cut-up roof, check the numbers before you order.
• The catalog keeps growing. Brands, lines and colors come from manufacturer catalogs, and some lines are still being added. If one you install is missing, tell us and we'll look at adding it.
